GERUND

GERUND is a verb added with -ing to form a noun

the function of gerund:

1) gerund as subject
ex:
- swimming is my hobby
- reading make me clever
2) gerund as object
- i really love dancing
- i like singing
3) gerund as complement
- her  favourite is playing
- his hobby is fishing
4) gerund after preposition (in,at, after,before, on,for,without)
ex:
-i'm interesting in reading novel
-after going home,i help my parents

-advice
-resist

ex:

- they enjoyed playing at the beach

ex:
- we are looking forward hearing from you
- she was used to drinking coffe
- her life dedicated to helping poor people
- they object to doing that project
ex:

1) he regrets doing it
2) my father delays working in office
3) she forgets studying for the exam
4) we consider the punishmenting for him
5) my mother advices me not to smoking
6) he admits him losing to me
7) she stops to playing game
8) they practice swiming on the swiming pool
